Privacy Policy

Your accounts, tickets and crew information.

Effective September 24, 2026 · Website & connected app

01. Who this policy covers

Streamwalkers Corporation (“we,” “us”) operates Movie Crew at movie.streamwalkers.com and its connected app. This policy explains the information used to plan movie outings, manage crews and run the service. Our contact for Movie Crew privacy questions is moviecrew@streamwalkers.com.

02. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password hash, verification status, account identifiers, crew memberships and access roles. If you use Google sign-in on the website, we receive identity information such as your Google account identifier, name and verified email.
  • Crew and outing information: names, optional email addresses and phone numbers, guest groups, showings, theaters, dates, times, seats, assignments, optional ticket-cost details, links and uploaded posters.
  • Communications: information you send to support and account-related requests.
  • Technical and security information: session identifiers, selected account events, timestamps and hosting request logs that may include IP addresses, browser information and request details.

A crew organizer or another authorized member may provide information about you. Only add another person’s details when you have permission or another appropriate basis to do so.

03. What happens to ticket images

Website ticket recognition runs on your device. The original screenshot, preview, QR code and raw OCR text are not sent to the Movie Crew server by that workflow. The browser may retain extracted, editable showing fields in session storage so you can recover an interrupted review. Browser caching may also store the reader’s language files, which are software resources rather than your tickets.

When you choose to add a showing, its reviewed movie, theater, date, time, screen, seat and link fields are saved to your crew plan. A poster image you separately upload is stored on the server and made available to authorized crew members. Avoid uploading ticket barcodes or sensitive personal information as posters.

04. Why we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, send verification and recovery emails, maintain crew plans and posters, support invitations and access roles, respond to support requests, troubleshoot errors, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use crew records for targeted advertising.

05. Who receives information

  • Your crew: authorized members can see shared records according to their roles. Administrators manage access; editors can update plans.
  • Service providers: IONOS supplies hosting, database infrastructure and email delivery for the service. Providers may process operational information needed to provide and secure those services.
  • Optional services: Google handles website Google sign-in when you choose it. External theaters, ticket sellers, map providers and communication apps receive information when you open their links or choose to share with them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
  • Legal and protective disclosures: we may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, protect rights or respond to a security incident.

We do not send ticket screenshots to an external generative-AI service as part of the website’s on-device reader. We do not share crew contact details for unrelated third-party marketing.

06. Cookies, local storage and device choices

The website uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and verify requests. Browser storage supports preferences and recovery of unfinished ticket reviews. Disabling cookies or clearing site data may sign you out or remove unsaved drafts. Google sign-in may use Google’s technologies subject to its own policy.

Device features are optional. A supported contact picker shares the contacts you select, rather than unrestricted access to your address book. Calendar entries are added when you choose to save them in the native editor; Movie Crew does not read your calendar. Optional app reminders are scheduled locally after notification permission. You can change device permissions in your device settings. The native app does not include advertising or cross-app tracking code.

07. Retention and deleting your account

Account and crew records are kept while needed to provide the service. In the iOS app, open Crew account → Delete account and follow the password and confirmation prompts. If you cannot access your account, contact moviecrew@streamwalkers.com.

Deletion removes your account, memberships, verification and recovery tokens, associated invitations, account-linked roster entries and uploaded posters from the live service. Plans for a crew with no other members are removed. Other members’ shared plans, independently entered information and copies already shared outside the service may remain. Transfer administration of a shared crew before leaving if others need to manage it.

Provider security logs and backups may remain until their configured retention periods expire. Information needed to comply with law or resolve a dispute may be retained as permitted by law. We do not promise that deleting an account immediately erases every backup or another person’s independent copy.

08. Your privacy choices and rights

You can correct account information and ask your crew administrator to correct shared entries. Depending on the laws that apply to you and the service, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, objection or restriction, withdrawal of consent, appeal of a denied request, or a complaint to a privacy regulator.

Send requests to moviecrew@streamwalkers.com and identify the Movie Crew account or record involved. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. We will respond under the requirements and time limits that apply to the request, including any permitted exceptions or extensions. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Where a processing basis is required, we rely on providing the requested service, legitimate interests such as security and support where permitted, consent for optional features when required, and compliance with legal obligations. Withdrawal of consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

09. Security and international processing

Movie Crew uses HTTPS, hashed passwords, session protections and role-based access checks. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. Read our Compliance & Security page for current controls.

We operate from the United States, and service providers may process information in other locations. Applicable transfer requirements must be considered when information is moved between jurisdictions; this policy does not claim that a particular international transfer agreement or certification is in place.

10. Children and changes to this policy

Movie Crew accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not create an account for a child or submit a child’s contact information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. If a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it before relying on that change. Questions can be directed to moviecrew@streamwalkers.com.
